When manual redrawing is the better choice
Automatic tracing can create thousands of short segments, double lines and meaningless scan artefacts. Cleaning that output can take longer than rebuilding the important geometry properly. Manual redrawing gives control over what is included and how the file is structured.
Possible deliverables
- Editable DWG or DXF geometry
- Organised layers by drawing element or discipline
- Recreated text and dimensions where readable
- Scale checked against a supplied reference measurement
- Removal of scan noise, fold marks and irrelevant content
- Optional drawing updates agreed in the quotation
Accuracy depends on the source
We reproduce visible information carefully, but missing information cannot be recovered from a scan. Unclear dimensions or symbols are flagged instead of invented. The customer remains responsible for verifying the drawing before construction, manufacturing or design decisions.
How pricing is determined
Manual work depends on drawing size, detail, source quality, number of pages and required layer structure. Upload the file first. We review it and provide a clear scope before chargeable manual work starts.
How to get the best quotation
- Send the highest-quality original available
- Indicate the pages and areas that must be redrawn
- Provide one reliable measurement
- Explain the desired level of detail
- State whether you need DWG, DXF or a Revit-related workflow
Have a difficult drawing?
Upload it for assessment. We will tell you whether conversion, cleanup or manual redrawing is the most practical route.
